Skylar knew that Bellamy had a ‘no one patrols alone’ rule, but she was just really bored.  It helped that she justified it by deciding she wouldn’t go too far, close enough for her screams or gunfire to be heard if something went sideways.  Which tended to happen more often than not, much to her displeasure.  At least it wasn’t boring.  So when she heard the sound of what appeared to be footsteps following her, the medic spun on her toe, bringing her weapon up partially--but not quite pointing at the noise, just in case--and narrowed her eyes slightly.  “Who goes there,” she called out evenly.

The forge was in unusual disarray.  Her tools--which were usually neatly stored in their places when not being used--were left cluttering workstations and some had even tumbled to the floor.  Not that Shay minded at the moment.  There had been a downturn of projects for her in the days since the epiphany in Lexa’s tent.  Leaning her head back against the wall in the far, out-of-the-way corner, the blacksmith bent a leg up to rest the clay bottle of alcohol on her knee so she didn’t have to hold it up anymore.  Hearing the sound of someone entering the forge, she lifted the bottle to take a long drink from it before slurring out loudly, “Forge is closed.  So take your insults elsewhere.  Business...meant business.”

The brunette silently stood next to a tree, an arrow drawn back as she marked the movements of the animal she was hunting. With one deep breath, she released the bow and watched as it soared and hit the deer straight through it’s eye - an instant kill. She smiled and was about to move forward to start moving the animal, but a sound coming from behind her caused her to stop and spin on her heel, holding up her bow, “Sneaking up on someone who’s armed is never a good idea.”

Two more of her warriors had gone missing. Though really, it was to be expected given that they lived in the forest. Their camp was starting to look more organized. Food was tied up in barrels, dangling from trees to avoid wild animals. Their wolf pack seemed to guard every entrance and Aisha revelled in the safety they brought. This was all Lexa’s fault, and the coalition. Peace was temporary, and they should all have known that. Aisha was in the forest, on the back of her wolf and axe clutched loosely in her hand. Her wolf was hungry, and she was more than happy to oblige him. They were currently tracking a scent, and Aisha hoped so dearly that it was human, if only for the sake of her amusement. Her wolf sped through the forest and finally caught up to the source of the scent. A human. Her wolf growled and she smiled as they turned to face her. She chuckled darkly and narrowed her eyes. “You should be more careful than walking in the forest alone.”

Breathing in a soft sigh, Shay shoved the heavy plate of steel she’d just finished hammering back into the coals.  The heat was stifling this close to the forge, but it was a familiar comfort to the woman who had spent nearly every moment near one since she was able to lift a hammer.  And that extra bit of comfort was precisely what she needed at this particular moment with everything just piling up against her.  Hearing a sound near the entrance of the forge, Shay didn’t even bother turning to identify it, simply calling out over her shoulder, voice much harsher than her norm, “You’ll have to speak up if you want something.”

Her eyes narrow slightly as she came upon the boar she had been tracking for a while now. Lynx pulled for her axe that was strapped to her back, getting it in position to throw. Just as she was about to go for the kill a twig snapped near her and off the boar went. She spotted the person who made the noise,making her way tot hem. “Thanks for that. I was following that boar for a mile now, I guess you’ll have to do.” she twirled her axe playfully. 

The blacksmith was already well outside of TonDC, she’d packed up and just walked out into the woods earlier that morning.  Shay had been struggling with memories for the last several days, and it had come to a head in the form of her just walking away from the forge.  Dropping her compact form to the ground, the blacksmith leaned back against a tree, knees being drawn up to wrap her arms around them and rest her face against the backs.  She knew she was relatively hard to see, small as she was, but she could hear someone approaching nonetheless.  Once she realized they were undoubtedly close enough to see her, the blacksmith lifted her head to drop it back against the hard trunk behind her.  “What do you want?”
