So what shall we do? What should we do?

So in return, I'll hide for you

This was just a game we played as children,

When there was nothing else to do

With no other choice,

You call out,

"Are you ready?"

I'm ready, look for me, hurry and find me

I wanted you to find me right away

I'll hide and you'll seek

I play hide-and-seek

Gone, gone, I realized you're gone

Did you hide, too?

It'll be my turn to seek next, okay?

In this repeating game of hide-and-seek

My turn to seek will last forever,

*"juice": The word 蜜 (mitsu) generally refers to nectar or honey. However, with apples specifically, it also refers to sorbitol, a sugar alcohol that creates patches of dark fluid (known in English as "watercore") on the inside of an apple. Sorbitol leads to enhanced sweetness and "makes [watercore] very desirable to sauce & cider makers. . . . The downside to this extra boost of sweetness is that watercore speeds up the deterioration process" (source). It's interesting for thematic purposes, but hard to convey all this knowledge in a single word, so I went with "juice" for its appropriateness with apples and cider.
