Nier isn’t the type to forget a face, especially not one that had been so kind to her. She hadn’t seen this woman since she first arrived on the island, but as soon as she recognizes Alice, a smile lights up Nier’s face.

“O-oh, Alice! I-it’s very nice to see you, I was worried maybe you’d been taken off the island like some others have... But I’m glad you’re still here.”

Her eyes flick down to the bag in Alice’s hands, and her ears twitch. “I-is that for me? You didn’t need to do anything like that, it’s really okay... Just knowing you care is enough for me...”

─「凛」─  the COUNTER GUARDIAN was about to open her mouth right after her master’s apology. after all, there was absolutely nothing for the other to apologize at all but what caught her attention was the full SPREAD upon the wooden table that is usually empty. the caster couldn’t help blinking while staring at the FOOD in awe, even more so when the other had admitted being the one making the amazing spread before them.

                “ master ... this --- ” somehow, the CASTER couldn’t find the words to speak proper as she still tried her best to process what was happening. the food was exquisite, everything looked amazing and delicately crafted. though she didn’t see her MASTER making them with her own eyes, she could’ve already imagined all the trouble and effort being put into the food.

                aah ... when was the last time anyone had cooked for her ... ?

                the silence might’ve WORRIED the magus quite a bit. without a word, the counter guardian took a few steps towards her master, and with no warning given whatsoever, her arms wrapped around her in a tight embrace.

                “ there’s absolutely nothing for you to apologize for. ” her words were uttered in a soft, TENDER manner. a kind of tone that one would say to someone dear to them. she was that to her, after all. she was more than just a MASTER ... much, much more than that. the caster herself had to close her eyes to prevent droplets from escaping. the rise of WARMTH from the organ in her left chest was like a reminder of the time she was still alive.

                when she was human.

                “ thank you, master ... no --- ” slowly, she leaned back, a hand came to caress her cheek as her smile softened. this person ... she vowed to protect her ... and bring her the grail.

                “ thank you, alice. it looks amazing. i hope that you’d enjoy it with me. ”

Akira’s own reason for wandering the fog was a spirit rumor strangely close to one he’d heard about back home. Going in with no expectations could either make it worth something or a typical bust.

He looked down at the address on his phone, up at the street signs, frowned, and then back at the address. A cat meowed to his left as it passed by, drawing his eyes down to see someone alone also walking nearby.

Akira really didn’t need to keep walking in circles.

“Hey, do you know where Club Luna is?” Halfway through his question, his eyes already widened slightly at her appearance, then narrowed in skepticism. Armor and a braid just reminded him of what Alice said --- why would they meet like this.

    One look is all he usually needs to gauge if a person is a warrior or not. Mostly from his own experience as both a hero of the Trojan Wars and as a Servant of the greater grail, but he can definitely tell just by looking. Of course, it usually went deeper than that but for the most part and as far as first impressions go, Achilles had a knack for this thing. The armor of gold and blue certainly helped tell him that this young woman was some knight of known renown of sorts.     He was never keen on how knights uphold duty above all else, what with their codes of chivalry and all... but he can respect a woman of honor no doubt.

─「凛」─  a sense of NOSTALGIA, a rush of memory coursing through her veins as form was being materialized from thin-air. there was a small, almost WHISPERY sound echoing at the back of her mind. a reminder of the past, a CALLING she was beckoned to answer --- and she did.

                another WAR, another battle, another holy grail. it all came rushing back as her consciousness slowly SOLIDIFIED and the COUNTER GUARDIAN closed her eyes, embracing the feel of the world passing through her as her own existence was beginning to root itself upon this WORLD. foreign, the air felt --- but nothing too bizarre for someone who had been through countless of battles. the CASTER felt steady stream of mana circulating as her pulse thumped lightly within her ears. eyes of CRIMSON revealed themselves to take in the SIGHT of the woman before her. field of GOLD greeted her vision, bringing back that sense of comfort.

there he was— rather, there she was. seeing his body before his eyes made the entire thing all the more real; keeping himself from paying too much attention to his current condition, it had been an easier time pretending things were normal, but before him was the single party around whom that was impossible. blue hues surfed the street, back and forth once, back and forth again, and back and forth once more for good measure.
