Live a Hero, Die a Hero

    Not only was Achilles capable of discerning beauty, he also knew when one was beautiful and strong. Warriors always have a certain look to them; an aura of experience that can be seen in their eyes, one he could relate to for his entire life up until its end had been all about fighting. Hell, even now as a Servant, the fighting never ceased.

    The first thing he noticed about this young lady was how attractive she looked. The isles seem to have a preference for attractive, colorful characters in general, himself included. The second thing he noticed was the cross-like stone seemingly grafted onto her exposed back, though it did little to mar her skin.

    Oh, well there’s a familiar figure. Achilles hadn’t seen her in a long while, but he does recognize the woman, especially since she stood out quite a bit. He felt a small kinship towards her, since his mother, Thetis, was a sea nymph, a goddess of the seas.

idk if i’ll make an ad yet or just hit like on people’s ads instead but i suppose for whoever he might end up threading with, here’s some event notes!

purely on the side of stars. he is a genuine hero, through and through. ‘course he’d fight for the little guys

that said, he’s also in it for fighting potentially uncapped characters. ya boi LOVES a good fight

as for noble phantasm nerfs, most of his nps are defensive in nature and not world ending like say karna’s vasavi shakti. he should be fine i think.

that said, good luck trying to get through said defenses if u do decide to throw down. its not easy for most servants and downright impossible for mortals aka normal people

     “this is a little complicated for me, but you know what!?”

     “i guess it doesn’t have to be complicated. anyone endangering innocent people? that’s who the enemy is!”

Leavin’ them be was more a threat than goin’ in to fend ‘em off. ❞ no matter how you looked at it, whether it was raw destruction or merely consuming the aether, they would have to be eliminated. ❝ If you don’t got the Echo, facin’ any would end in somethin’ less fortunate for ya. ❞

          ❝ Eh? Never heard of a Primal ‘fore? Or, well, even the concept. Suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised, given it all… thought there might be somethin’ similar, though. ❞

     “hey! you said your class was rider, right? then can you ride one of…”

     “these!?” where on earth had she found this unicycle? no one will ever know.

     she had been wondering for some time when a situation like this would arise. it wasn’t uncommon for Servants to be from a completely different time, or different all together. she has ran into many during her quest to save humanity that, while she knew from one Singularity, had no memory of her in the other or never met her at all. the common thread was that they felt like she was to be trusted. that she meant them no harm. and even if she no longer was back in her world, even here, it was only a matter of time until the situation arose.

       contrary to the serious expression Achilles wore, Ritsuka’s was one of peace, paired with a soft smile. humming quietly, her eyes slide shut as she clasps her hands behind her back. 

         “ We have. It was to stop someone named Darnic, who had fused himself with the Great Holy Grail. You weren’t the only one. There were other servants who helped– I knew of them, but they didn’t know me. I guess it was because they were from your time– your Holy Grail War…Red and Black is what they were grouped under, if I’m remembering right.” 

  sighing softly, she opens her eyes, smile still present as her gaze focuses on the Servant. “ You all helped me stop him to let go of his dream and rest. “

As she recounted her experiences with him, a sort of calm washed over the Servant, easing whatever reservations he had with this mage. Mages were, at their core, ruthless beings when it came to their craft but Chaldea’s last Master was different. Despite having no memory whatsoever of her being present during the Great Holy Grail, he didn’t feel like she was lying at all. He felt no deceit, no animosity and no malice whatsoever. Very few could ever win over his trust with just words alone, but this mage could count herself lucky for as soon as she finished speaking, Achilles found himself content in her presence. Just like that, he smiled.

    Tending to a certain vegetable patch became routine for Achilles, seeing as its owner seemed to have been absent for a while. Not surprising, since the nature of place seemed to thrive off of people appearing and disappearing at a whim. Still, lucky for these greens Achilles had not forgotten about them upon his own return and had been tending to them since.      Good thing Chiron taught him all he needed to know about taking care of plants. His mentor did use herbs to heal all kinds of things back in the day. With the Servant today were his three horses, Xanthus, Balius and Pedasos. Part of his Noble Phantasm, but to him, they were still his trusted companions and hence, treated them like they were normal horses. One of them whinnies, the sound of footsteps calling to their attention as well as the Servant’s.

      THERE WAS INDEED MERIT TO HIS HONESTY, however that did not make it any easier to admit to. Wringing her hands nervously, her smile seemed to wane as she privately confronted the possibility of having to ask for help. How dire a situation must she need to deem the question necessary? It should be no-one’s burden to bear but her own. As she continued to undermine her plight, sickening herself with worry, her thoughts then turned to her sister; the much needed ray of sunlight in her darkest hour.

                                                        —It’s okay to ask for help. 

      The resignation eased into her expression as Elsa softly sighed away her tension, before yielding thusly. Whilst still a daunting prospect, she feared she would lament not doing so later.

           ❝  … What gave me away?  ❞

    This one wasn’t stubborn, Achilles noted. From the way she spoke, he could already tell the kind of woman she is, upon first impressions at least. He’s no therapist by any stretch of the imagination, but he thought of himself a good judge of people, able to tell friend from foe in but a mere glance. This young woman was no foe, that’s for sure.     Who she is and if she’ll become friend or not, remains to be seen.
