Ok, I know this is not the type of thing I normally post but I gotta help some people out: If you are going to OSL, dress and pack smart! I see people all the time who do stupid things like wear dresses and ridiculous heels to music festivals and have nothing but a tiny little bag and i need to let people know that these people SUFFER. If you’re going this year, please let me give some advice to pack smart, warm, and light:

1) if you don’t actually live in the city, know that the weather app always lies! look at a live cam of the city to check for fog and wind! this is a great indicator of how cold it will be 2) do not wear skirts or dresses - in all likelihood there will be wind and it will be fucking cold so wear pants! you can still pull off the music festival look without wearing a dress 3) I fucking hate bringing layers so here’s a hack: bring a jacket (of course) plus a warm (but cute) hat, a scarf, and if you’re really feeling it, try a pair of fingerless gloves.  It’ll be pretty warm in the crowd so if that’s where you’ll be, don’t waste your time on jackets that you have to take on and off constantly, just bring small things cuz a) they’re packable, b) they keep you super warm and c) should you find yourself sitting in the grass, you will be at the weather’s mercy.  4) wear a comfy boot with a heel.  You’re gonna want to be tall to see the stages so heels are helpful but seriously make sure they’re comfy - if any of yall have a nice pair of sorel’s, I highly recommend! 5) in your bag, you should bring: your warm hat, scarf, etc, chapstick (cuz I just can’t not have it), your wallet (you are going to OSL so therefore it’s treat yo self and you are going to spend lotta moneys so why not embrace it?), sunglasses, AND A SHEET. most people bring whole blankets which aren’t bad, they’re just super bulky to carry around so instead I recommend a sheet for sitting on! just make sure you’re ok with getting some grass stains on it, 6) bring a waterbottle! stay healthy and hydrated friends :) 7) a phone battery pack and 8) make sure you take your pictures off your phone! this was a long term issue for me because I just wanted to take tons of pictures/videos but couldnt. try the image capture mac app to make it super easy.
