Thinking about O14
So, I was browsing through the O14 tag, and reading that dialogue between Drifter and Eris where they talk about Saint and Osiris, and the angsty part of my shipper brain decided to kick in.
What if the reason Osiris hasn’t been to visit Saint yet is because, well, he can’t? What if that was the condition; or one of them, that Osiris had to agree to in order to get whatever made the Sundial work?
If you make it to the Lighthouse for going flawless in Trials, you can see one of Osiris’ reflections talking to Saint but it disappears when you get close.
What if that is the only way the two can ‘see’ eachother, with one of Osiris’ reflections acting as a proxy for the man himself? How difficult must that be for them, to be close yet so far after all this time? They can’t touch or hold eachother, they can’t kiss eachother. Saint can’t feel the warmth that naturally eminates from Osiris as a solar Warlock . . .
It’s a depressing thought, but it kind of makes sense. If any creative person out there wants to make this into a fic/ comic/ sketch please do and be sure to tag me in it so my shipper heart can break a little more.
