An innocent and unsophisticated Guyanan immigrant is exposed to the hustlin' way of life of the Brixton ghetto.
Norman Beaton, oh Norman Beaton. He was just the coolest, even when being despicable you just want to be him. Oscar James (Eastenders, Pressure) also puts in a typically strong performance brimming with charisma, and much like Pressure, the lead is a kind of blank slate for these people (and us the audience) to draw on as we travel through this colourful time period of clashing cultures and vultures.
Fantastic performances, full of humour, darkness, and reality
