Pretty simple cosplay The school shirt and skirt are both polyester with bias tape for the skirt's waistband and the shirt's white trim. The sleeves were hand gathered and set in. The school tie is actually just unhemmed spandex.

I made the red undershirt and a pair of red undershorts out of an oversized Tshirt I had.

The gloves were made by taking two foam cup holders and covering them in red stretchy fabric. They slide over my fingers and are clasped with a hook and eye on the inside of each wrist. It's more hot glued than sewn lol.

I know that my shirt is very short, and my skirt very low. But I was still relatively new to cosplay while making this and a lot of the artworks show her midriff so I thought it was supposed to be like that. I still had so much fun in this cosplay, I didn't care until some people made comments about it being "too much" and "inaccurate" about it at the time. That Fanime I also lent it to my sister who's even taller than me lol, I learned a lot about proper fit between different bodies vs. a standard mannequin.

My final project for my art class was to make textile art using only what was available in the classroom. One was a paper dress made out of a romance novel where half the pages are burnt on the edges to represent disillusionment of fairytale romance. The bodice and some pages had metal trim cut from the edges of metal sheets from whatever the precursor to the Xerox was. and then soft pink ribbon laced through the punch holes.

The other was a muslin dress that I mixed red and blue dye to dip dye the skirt and then paint butterfly details on. The straps were made with copper wire and felt washer circle things. The wings were held up with skewers glued together inside. The back had an embossed brass plate as closure/counter weight to the front.

After the art show, I wore it to a cosplay gathering so I could get some photos of it. Spring '10 Pics by...OscarC and BlizzardTerrak iirc

Wendy is from a webcomic I really loved! Unfortunately, I don't think the creator ever finished it, but I was so happy to be able to show him my cosplay and talk to him briefly during Fanime 2010 he was tabling at AND meet Lanzer of GaiaOnline. Little me was double star-struck lol.

Whole outfit was a white slubbed linen look-alike with a lace-up closure in the back. I specifically made this to be worn with a binder since Wendy was supposed to be very young. I made my own foam buckles at the time. My favorite part of this cosplay was the teruteru bozu she wears on her hat, I still have it! It's literally tissues and fabric, but its too fucking cute to throw away!

I wanted to photoshop fire into my hands in the above photo lol. it clearly never happened
