The Kandyan osariya with the frill in front of the sari, there is some indication that its origins lie with the Nayak kings who ruled Kandy. The blouse or jacket is full length and very often has a bit of a puff. Though with time I hear it is more in line with the briefer blouse/choli worn with the sari today.
From the tutorial, it looks like it requires a belt for the frill to fall correctly - is this correct?
