it is an inaccuracy. even at my college I’d finish a spring semester mid to end of April nearly a month before all my friends and that was an anomoly so finishing in March would be like /really/ special circumstances I’d say

russia was a beautiful country, in zuki’s opinion. she’d been on a mission, however, so her sight seeing would have to wait until after she’s gotten what she wants. what does she want, you ask? to congratulate yuri plisetsky on his win at the grand prix final! the boy was only a year older than her, and that fact alone gave zuki much needed strength to continue skating. she could become as great as him someday, after all. she wanted to see herself become as great as him.

while her older brother checked into their hotel, zuki stood in front of yuri’s rink, a light smile on her face as he emerged from the doors.

“Yurochka, do you really think I would joke about the disease that killed your grandmother. I’m trying to tell you like an adult so please listen.” His voice was a little harsher than he intended, but this whole situation was harsh. It’d been almost ten years since his wife died.

“They said it was in a later stage, that there’s going to be a lot of treatment happening fast. I go in to meet with a surgeon next week.” he continued to explain, not knowing what else there was to say.

Georgi set down his travel mug of coffee on the top of the boards of the rink. He took a deep breath and let it out. It was going to be nice to have some practice time, alone, without spectators. Usually the ice was crowded with his fellow Russian skaters, but he had signed up for this inconvenient time block, 1 AM on a Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning just to get some peace, quiet, and practice.

Of course, his good mood descended as he saw the door to the change rooms open. Why was Yuratchka here this late at night?
