There is a cosiness to the place that she wishes to emulate with the dryad’s own dwelling. But so far, that place lacks him, and while she cares dearly for her fellow trees, the mortal’s home is devoid of the usual noise that accompanies them. It is also another one of those ‘dates’, Eurydice thinks, her hands curled around a mug of coffee.
