Ash hadn’t been in Alola long, at least not by his standards. A couple of weeks wasn’t that long, right? Only long enough to get settled into his new routine.

School was a new challenge, one he wasn’t sure he was up too. But the island challenges themselves sounded like an awful lot of fun. Especially compared to how he was used to going about things. There wasn’t even a league here.

It was just the kind of shakeup he needed after Kalos and all that time at home.

But then he happened to spot the very last person he’d thought he’d see. Face breaking out into an all consuming grin, he was already off at a run before he’d even said a word.

      At that one word, Clemont was suddenly dropped and left to float in the water, while a tense silence filled the air as the psychic stared down at the thoroughly-soaked boy.

      Voice was as strained as the expression on his face, the psychic doing his best to withhold as much emotion from rising to the surface as he could. It didn’t help much, the conflict only furthering a bitter, violent urge blossoming in Mewtwo’s chest.

      Slender digits would rise to point at the blonde who was again lifted from the water, but this time with a much greater psychic pressure seizing around him, as if an invisible force was slowly crushing him from the inside.

He didn’t know why he was so surprised at being called out, he wasn’t exactly the master of subtlety. His attempts at delaying their arrival at the airport were probably transparent, especially to Citron.

Turning back to the other, Pikachu leaned forward from it’s perch on his head. Poking his cheek with it’s tail.
