Samhain - Initium (1984, Plan 9 original pressing with large center ring). This is my favorite Samhain album. Lots of great songs here, but The Howl is the clear winner for me. When I was a kid, this album cover actually seemed scary and evil. My mom discovered the CD version I had back then and played the first track to see what her sweet child was listening to. The CD was stopped before the track finished, and I received a very long questioning about it a few minutes later.

Just spotted out in the wild: Tool’s Aenima on vinyl. If you can skip your rent payment this month, go on down to Moondog Records in Las Vegas to snatch up this rare wax.
