🗓️ originalPosterDate() plugin by glenthemes
A plugin for Tumblr themes that shows the original post’s date in {Month} {DayOfMonthWithZero}{DayOfMonthSuffix}, {Year} format by adding the poster’s username and post link as custom attributes to an element within a {block:NotReblog} or a {block:RebloggedFrom} context; comes with options based on those in the Tumblr docs. Works for both original posts and additional reblogs!
Options:
langLocaleCode: the date output’s language/locale code
shortMonth: e.g. “Feb” or just “February”
dayWithZero: e.g. “09” or just “9”
dayWithSuffix: e.g. “21st” or just “21”
shortYear: e.g. “‘26” or just “2026”
[ optional ] .then() method if you want to handle the date further.
