Waking someone from the dead requires concentration. The kind that's rare to get around the Abattoir with all the noise that often follows from staff members to family alike. It's why Hope finds herself in the bell tower. The whole reason that she was doing this spell was to see if it would work & make sure it was 100% safe for her parents. She had seen Elena before & knew that Tatia existed through the diaries of her uncle & father. Apparently, snooping is a genetic trait that she learned from her mama. Hope was kneeling on the hard wooden flooring just before a salt circle. It's there that a body fades into reality.
