"Could you please teach me?" Chrome anxiously asks Lee, wanting to learn the Art of Being a Good Boyfriend. Since Lee's such a chivalrous boyfriend towards Kamui, Chrome figures it wouldn't hurt to ask him for advice.
Lee warmly gives it, urging Chrome to simply tell Noir 'how important he is to you'. 'Let him know of the impact he has made on your life'. They've become close friends through their mutual affection for Kamui, and also through Lee not wanting to ignore Chrome.
Chrome consults with Kamui too, putting a different spin on their mentor-pupil relationship. He and Noir strive to be the very best they can be for each other, barely able to compute love but wanting to learn as much as they can.
While Lee and Kamui quickly become physically affectionate, Noir and Chrome are a little shy about it and take forever to get past hand-holding. But every gesture and word they share is luminous with love that goes beyond words.
Noir not only consults with Lee and Kamui, but also watches Nanami's love dramas.

Noir Headcanons: Interactions w/Some of the Constructs
(inspired by and for @littlepotatowizard )
Banji:
Banji's immediately smitten with Noir, and Noir does nothing to discourage him (until he realizes his feelings for Chrome are serious).
Banji and Noir's relationship is like the relationship between a kitten and a doting owner. Noir stops cuddling with him once he and Chrome enter a relationship, but the two remain platonic soulmates.
Banji remains devoted to Noir, even once the Commandant begins dating Chrome. Despite the hurt he feels over unrequited love, he remains an affectionate friend.
Lee
Lee and Noir bond over their mutual affection for Kamui.
Noir initially saw Lee as a cold-hearted grump, but through a series of adventures and their deepening bonds with Kamui, Noir eventually realized how wrong he was.
Noir loves to hug him.
Kamui:
Noir doesn't have many rules as Commandant. He really doesn't have any. But you'd better follow this one: Kamui is Best Boy and you'd better leave him alone.
Lee and Noir honestly feel Kamui's Tenebrion frame is a huge downgrade, in regards to appearance. Noir honestly thought Bastion was 1000x more adorable.
But no matter what form he's in, Noir gives Kamui all of the love in the world.
Lucia:
Noir is a combination of a confidant and big brother figure towards her.
He can't stand her cooking, but never admits it to anyone other than Chrome.
Sometimes Lucia and Noir sit together in silence, reflecting on the day's events and relaxing.
(because @asoundofdrop has this beautifully developed Commandant, and they inspire me to keep developing mine.)
• He would be voiced by Shameik Moore, as I love Shameik as Miles Morales from 'Spiderman: Into the Verse'. Plus, Noir and Miles have that same gentle, laidback and amicable aura.
• Noir helps Kamui decorate the dorms with seasonal and holiday decor. He admits to feeling like a selfish coward, because he does it to 'run away from the shit that haunts me', but Kamui thoroughly enjoys his company anyway.
• Noir shares a pretty strong similarity with Kamui: if they're both quiet, something's gravely wrong.
• Noir randomly hugs Lee not just because he knows it annoys him, but also because he believes Lee deserves all of the love in the world.
• Despite having a crush on Chrome, Noir's much more comfortable confiding in Lee or Watanabe than Chrome. Noir dismisses it by saying he doesn't want to bother a Captain of a different squad, but he really doesn't want to burden someone he has feelings for.
• He enjoys cooking with Lucia. Even though she's astronomically bad at it, he's not that great at it either. Just being by her side is therapeutic because she radiates strength and devotion.
• He has the softest spots for Kamui and Nanami. Their adorable, off-the-wall personalities provide him with infinite comfort. unfortunately for lee, this means noir sides with kamui by default, which kinda has him betraying gray raven for a strike hawk operator lol
Noir Dialogue:
"Gotta make sure we evacuate the area, team. Let's not leave any stone unturned, a'ight?"
"Looks like we're dealin' with a lotta high level threats, gang. S-tier shit. You guys got this, though. Know ya do."
"You're pretty good at what 'chu do, Lee. I'm proud o'ya."
"You okay over there, Liv? Stay with us. Don't push yerself."
"Me? I learned from the best: Mercury Wing."
"Ay, I ain't no expert on cookin' or nothin', but I REALLY don't think fish is supposed ta look like that."
"Lee, c'mon now bro, give Kamui a break."
"...whaddya mean, I'm always sidin' with 'im? Ain't nobody playin' favorites up in here...Liv, who told you t'keep score?"
Kyrie is a surprising, bewitching combination of traits. He's a laidback, amicable individual towards his squad mates and others-until you piss him off. It's difficult to rub him the wrong way, as he prefers to handle things with a calm head and a calm voice. But if you manage to get under his skin, you'd better prepare for a pretty intense battle.
If you threaten any of his friends, whether they're Cardinals or otherwise, Kyrie will promise to end your life with a smile on his face. He's particularly protective of his squad mates, Kamui and Liv.
He's resourceful, confident, quiet and dauntless. Kyrie's also opinionated and stubborn, which can lead to some tense conversations. It all comes from how confident he is in his battle prowess, and in his abilities as a Commandant. But unless you end on his 'hit list', Kyrie is a dutiful, devoted friend that would go deep into Hell on your behalf.
(this blessed gif pretty much sums him up, as tales of zestiria's sorey is inspiration for his personality and appearance)
(Rewriting scenes from Chapter 6, because the way Kamui’s been treated by the other characters bothers me. Lee’s lines really bug me.)
(*SPOILER WARNING: PLEASE SKIP THIS POST IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE IT TO CHAPTER 6.*)
(Written while listening to the Eligor battle theme from Final Fantasy VII Remake.)
Kamui’s fighting his hardest to deny it, but all his smiles aren’t doing anything but getting under Commandant Noir’s skin.
Noir’s silvery purple eyes are constantly fixated on the Strike Hawk operator, searching for even the slightest disturbance in the force-and the moment he notices even a little bit of discomfort coming from the Operator, he’s immediately alert. Suffering in silence is an artform he’s all too familiar with-he mastered it when he was barely high enough to touch his mother’s knees.
Gray Raven and their guest Operator are seconds away from tangling with another mighty threat. But despite Kamui’s constant assurance of his wellbeing, Noir’s increasingly uncomfortable.
“Run a scan on him for me, sis,” he gently urges Liv, his purple eyes ablaze with concern for his friend.
“I ain’t buyin’ what he’s tryin’ to sell us.”
Kamui gives him what is quite possibly the deadliest set of puppy eyes. “I’m fine, Commandant, really! Please don’t lemme hold you guys up!”
Noir’s eyes cut through him like the katana he carries. “Yeah, so I c’n get an earful from Captain Chrome?” He glares at the distressed Operator, but his eyes carry a mixture of the softest affection, fear and solid concern. “I promised him I’d look after you, sunshine,” the Commandant reminds him, settling a hand on his shoulder.
“And you may not know this, ‘cuz you ain’t a part of th’ gang, but we’ve got two rules in this house. One: I look after mine. Two: I don’t break my promises.”
Liv begins the medical maintenance scan, per Noir’s orders, but the threats they sought quickly approach them. Kamui is quickly seized by something that obviously troubles him even more, and bolts like a frightened deer, all the while throwing an overabundance of apologies to his companions.
Much to everyone else’s horror, Commandant Noir Wing bolts after him, katana at the ready, completely disregarding his own safety. His long, purple braid flows behind him, wisps spilling out as the wind guides him deeper.
An agonized, long sigh comes from Lee, followed by one from Watanabe. “Looks like our guest Operator’s up to no good again,” he groans, rolling his eyes. Watanabe acknowledges Lee’s complaint with a nod, then bolts off after Noir.
Lucia settles a hand on his shoulder and gives him a warm, comforting smile. “We’ve got three objectives, gang,” she tells her friends, remembering the term Noir constantly uses to describe Gray Raven: gang. “We’ve got to ensure Commandant’s and Kamui’s safety. We’ve also got to eliminate the Corrupted that terrorize this area. Let’s hop to it.”
“We may need to hurry,” Liv warns them, her gentle eyes alive with worry.
“I don’t know who we need to worry about more-Commandant or Kamui. I wasn’t able to finish the recent scan Commandant asked for, but the last few I could run on Kamui have me quite worried.”
