Organs Please is a dark and satirical management sim, where you take control of a recycling factory with a twist: it recycles humans.

Earth falls in 30 days, and all humans will perish. But you can help us escape the dying planet. Prepare for an exciting job as Overseer of the salvation effort! There are a few aspects we want to make clear – after all, you are trying to save humanity and we can't have any mistakes. When selecting candidates for the Ark, you need to make sure that only the best of the best are accepted.

We do not, under any circumstances, want criminals, the chronically ill or anyone who is inept. Do not be swayed by bribes, as we will find out!However, you need to keep an eye out for potential factory workers. While not everyone is suitable for the Ark, some will be perfect for manual labour.

Just be careful not to select anyone that poses a security threat to the project.And, finally, any person you deem to be unusable can be processed into fuel. Pay the price, keep our city nice.

The Human Survival Committee would like to announce the opening of the Factory. The Ark's construction will begin next week.

Today we're going to talk a little bit about the illustrations for Organs Please.

To balance the existential horror of recycling people with humor, our artist chose a light and comical style for his drawings.

The main inspiration for those illustrations is a famous memes.

In the Factory, as within any office, rats – or office gossips – nest and weave a web of lies about you. To illustrate this, we used Mel Gibson's smug look in Maverick. The look is so charismatic that it deserves a whole gallery of portraits! We hope you noticed them on the wall.

Very aggressive employees might fight amongst themselves for the right to work an extra shift or a nude photo of a Miss Ark contestant. We used memes and footage from The Simpsons to prepare for the fights.
