miyoung scoffs at his response, expression entirely disbelieving. her lips purse with undisguised disapproval. nonetheless, there is a softness to it (perhaps in her averted glances) that signals lighthearted manner. then, brief and barely visible, forms a grin before she answers, “yes, you. your mating call is hideous and that suggestiveness was sickening. you’re lucky you’re attractive. i may be the only girl who can deal with that noise.” her tone is teasing, voice edging onto something akin to bright, always warmer than the appearance of any physical features she possesses. “you have my attention now,” she informs, contradictory to the fall of her eyes back to the laptop display inches away. mechanically, her fingers return to swiping the touch-pad, brown irises returning to the routine of reading that includes a dull pattern of back and forth as the screen scrolls endlessly. “is there something you wanted rather than to be disgusting? a hug maybe? you’re starting to seem starved of affection. do you want me to tell you i love you or something? maybe i’ll pet your head and rub your belly because you’re such a good boy. would you like that?”

“do you really think sounding like a nauseous dog is attractive?”

“whatever the hell that noise is… that’s unreal. inhumane. stop doing it.”
