How Dandelions Grow 06/14/15 A little boy picks a dandelion and, With all the power that A little boy's little lungs can muster, Sets free the tiniest of storms. A thousand fairies float through The springtime air, Propelled skyward by happiness and The most pure of all joys. The little boy imagines flying with the dandelion seeds. He spreads his arms and runs through Fields upon fields of flowers, Until the air is filled with clouds of magic. A child's giggles are eternal. The fields, blessed with laughter, Become filled with dandelions every spring. The little boy grows up, As little boys often do, And he becomes a man. He's fortunate enough to fall in love. They write poems for each other, and he Tells her all about his childhood, About dandelions. They build a house, surrounded by Fields upon fields of flowers.
