A cave-in. During a firefight. Because Finn has always been so incredibly lucky. He glares at the only other person in the darkened cave, the gleaming white armour giving him unpleasant, violent flashbacks. He places his hand on his hip holster, chin tilted in defiance. The situation sucks, but Finnâs not going to die here on this day. Not if he can help it. â Come near me && Iâll shoot. â&& with that, he shines his torch towards the cave floor litter. The planet is approaching nightfall && the temperature will only drop more. Fire. He needs to build a fire. With only damp leaves and a few large rocks, heâs not holding out much hope for a roaring one.
He draws his blaster at the first sign of moment from the âTrooper, generous mouth drawn in a grim, thin line. â Donât test me, 2437.Â
Getting separated from his unit was not apart of his plans. Much like everything else that had been plaguing him. When the dust had settled the trooper found himself staring down an enemy. An enemy that used to be apart of his unit.Â
This disgusting waste of a soldier. He was a testament to his own failure. Now reduced to running from the First Order like vermin. He didnât deserve to be left breathing. It was his duty to put him down. The trooper took a step only to be warned. He rose his weapon as well.Â
A pressure crept into his chest and his finger wavered on the trigger.Â
FN-2437 tried not to panic. This was not the time to be distracted. He needed to stay focused, but the feeling kept edging him on. The feeling infuriated him. He wasnât supposed to be having second thoughts. He wasnât ALLOWED to have second thoughts. He should have felt NOTHING for him and even the fact that he was ANGRY about it made it worse.Â
As the intensity increased he moved his weapon very slowly downward.  âEasy...FN-2187â He cautioned. Now unsure what to say to him with his thoughts racing in a million directions. âIt doesnât have to end this way.â The alternator from his helmet announced between them.Â
He was lucky enough that his suit regulated his temperature, even though it was usually kept quite cold. It could be problematic in their situation, but he felt he was better off than him.Â
