It's been a minute, but I wanted to post my contribution to the @satosugu-holiday-zine I had an idea about KFC and Dec 24, and how it could be cute if Suguru had a bit of nostalgia about the day. Maybe he and Satoru shared a December 24th together before. Maybe it was Satoru's first one, because he'd not really had any friends before going to Jujutsu Tech. I feel it would be special to Suguru to have gotten to share that with Satoru at all, and that maybe he'd want to do it again, at least if Satoru would let him. And of course, it's not really an apology because Suguru's not sorry for leaving, but it's as much of an apology as Suguru could ever provide, given the circumstances. And I don't think Satoru would ever refuse him, despite probably being justifiably annoyed. Ultimately, he's just happy to see Suguru show up at all, so they eat together, and spend the day chatting about the years they've missed, and Satoru slacks on whatever mission he was sent on, because, whatever, and well...
There's plenty more that could evolve from that, but that was my main inspiration about this piece!
I have a lot of thoughts surrounding what things could've been like if they had been secretly meeting up during the 10 year gap and everything, and this is a cuter idea around it!
