okay so I think there's a disturbing lack of fics about lando's tooth gap. it's concerning to me that we, as a fandom, have been ignoring our main guy's most defining feature ๐ in this paper I seek to fill the gap in the literature ๐คโ๐ป
so it's a fic where oscar overhears the taylor swift song (Ours) somewhere in the paddock, doesn't really register it until he looks at lando and it suddenly clicks and starts playing in his head again. it begins a journey of slow obsession w lando's smile and teeth and lips to the point that he feels like he's losing his mind. :))
now onto the second
"they are weird about each other" is !!
i only have a concept for it atm but it's an attempt to capture the confusing and contradictory rules they have in their relationship to be able to function as teammates+competitors. stuff that doesn't make sense to other people. BUT they're so used to being seen as weird that they don't register when things get actually weird. when it becomes a bit of a psychosexual obsession (lowk brocedes vibes). because they think their conflicting feelings for each other are a natural consequence of the situation they are in. but they are not !!!
i need to think about this fic so much more bc it's challenging to capture and articulate, but it's one of the ones i'm most excited to write.
