We all have those moments where we can't get a simple math problem right, so when you can't figure out why 2x5 is equal to 5+5 Karkat will wait for you to figure it out or for you to ask him to help you.
When you figure it out he will celebrate with you and praise you for understanding the math. Which probably means watching a movie of you choice and icecream.
Karkat speaks extremely soft with you, not whispering but still soft and caring, because he believes that you are better than most of the trolls/humans that he has ever met so you don't need to be treated like a Grub Baby.
And maybe the fact that you might leave him because he is loud.
If anyone ever speaks to you over there normal time of voice he will shout at them to be quiet when you are away. (Definitely not Dave most of the time after he gets done blasting music in his headphones... Totally)

So I know this isn't normally what you deal with, but I found out today that my boyfriend is ex-red. And obviously I'm not going to keep dating him, especially not after he lied to me like that, but I don't want him to think I'd murder him or out him to his boss or anything. How do I break up with him without scaring him?

If reds don't think pollution is good then why would the ones in Voa pollute everyone's food? Did they just want it for themselves? Maybe if you were unclean and really hungry that might seem okay to do even though it's so selfish. I was taught that reds love pollution and hate cleanliness and that's why we can't trust them but if that were true wouldn't they be scared of getting cleaned? I just don't understand. I'm scared that we're letting bad people into society but you don't seem that bad.

I donât think anyoneâs seriously put forward a suggestion that more than perhaps five, and probably fewer, reds in Voa participated. There are about five million reds in Voa.
These five or fewer reds were approached, likely personally, by a blue. You know how stereotypes of permissions countries work, where if a blue tells a random down-on-their-luck purple to assassinate someone theyâll do it? Thatâs with permissions. Voa doesnât have permissions, and itâs never been the worst country to be red in, but if a blue wanted a red dead (and accordingly unable to have any children or see their existing children again) he could make that happen. If a blue wanted a redâs entire family dead slowly he could make that happen. Maybe itâs a little inconvenient in Voa. Itâs not inconvenient enough. I donât know if Savo threatened them, but he didnât actually have to.
So you have one-in-a-million reds, if that, with a blue telling them what to do. At this point it doesnât matter if they like the idea or not. Sure, food prices for people who didnât mind if it was unverifiable dropped, and reds are poor, but by and large reds arenât literally starving to death outside of Evalee that one time, and Voan reds are among the least desperate.
Reds donât like pollution. Reds donât hate cleanliness. Reds are not scared of getting cleaned; they know itâs the only way to become full fledged members of society. Reds and ex-reds are not bad people.
How come you identify with the reds that used to exist? Reds are made of pollution, you're not made of pollution, so there can't be anything that's the same between them and you. Maybe people would be less grossed out by you if you didn't make them think you're reds.

So, yes, waiting a year might mean that sheâs not single any more, and not waiting till sheâs off your couch might make her feel pressured and frightened. Those are the options. Congratulations on identifying them. If sheâs stealth she might feel pressured and frightened by the possibility of being outed even later on.

One of the ex-reds I'm helping asked for advice on hiring sex workers. I can do all the parts about how-it-works-for-cleans-in-my-country, but is there anything extra I should be saying or not saying that I'm not thinking of? (I'm guessing they're also asking ex-reds, or people who asked ex-reds, but I still don't want to say something that's obviously stupid given who I'm talking to.)

Itâs a bad idea for stealth ex-reds to have sex with anyone, including professionals, who are not explicitly okay with having sex with non-disclosing ex-reds. In Anitam, Silver Night now has a profile item for expressing willingness to accept ex-red clients without knowing which clients they are. If your country does not have an equivalent, ex-reds interested in hiring professionals will have to find this information some other way. Everything else you know about how born cleans interact with the industry will probably remain applicable.
