The fact that the writers saw the magic that was adult taishauna in 1×07 and have deliberately kept them seperate for most of season 2 is criminal, unfortunately I think the adults reunion will happen near the end of ep6
Ikr???
I’ll say the only real issue I have with this season thus far is how little interaction there is between the core four in 2021.
While I think their separate plots are interesting and well written (though I wish there was more Taissa) I do really miss them all being together.
As for taishauna in the present, I’m really excited to see them reunite! If I’m being completely honest(please don’t hate me) I’m kind of eh on taivan but I’m pretty sure they’re endgame, I personally think that for Taissa, Van represents her past, who she was before the crash, Simone represents her current self, and Shauna is the bridge between those two people. Shauna was the woman she leaned on during their time in the woods and she understands watched Tai through that transitional phase.
For Tai, going back to Van is symbolic of her trying to return to her younger self, which is impossible and might even be regressive for her. But she also can’t go back to Simone because as wonderful as Simone is, she doesn’t understand what’s happening to Tai and Tai can’t open up to her.
But Shauna both understands her experiences and knows who she is now. Thus I think she’s the best match for Tai, but that’s just my opinion. Sorry this turned into a bit of an essay I just have SO many thoughts about Taissa Turner.
