Sometimes I think about how sans Undertale was such a popular figure in media along with the Onc*ler and I think about how both of them were around in the time where the mindset of “humanity is the problem/humanity is a disease” was prevalent and how the Onc*ler represents how someone who destroyed everything through greedy capitalistic measures was able to see his mistakes and how civilization was able to recover despite it all and how sans is the one who’s given up and who will fight you only in the very end and how everyone who wrote fanfic or comic or made art about him drew him forgiving the player, forgiving humanity over and over and over despite the horrible things that you might’ve done and how the people on here seem to have an inherent attraction to the notion that’s there’s hope regardless of how dire it seems and regardless of how horrible you’ve been if you keep trying, keep forgiving you’ll be okay in the end and I am going insane I think
