Well now I'm just thinking about the inherent nature of doing something challenging usually ends up being more rewarding. Or how building up to something is far more enjoyable then just getting it immediately.

Where do you prefer to read fanfic?

Partially because I am curious, and partially to help determine the posting schedule / location of future longfics. This is my completely unscientific survey to try to figure out if there is an Ao3/tumblr reader overlap.

Answer for fics that you want to read, and not the ones you would naturally ignore because it's not a favored fandom, character, etc.

References to "Ao3" in the survey also includes fanfiction.net and wattpad (etc).

Where do you read fanfic?

I only read on tumblr if it happens to be in my feed.

I follow authors on tumblr and am notified of new content.

Even if the summary & excerpt are my catnip, I won't click a link to Ao3.

If there is a link from tumblr to Ao3 (ff.net, wattpad, etc), I will follow it.

I'd rather read on tumblr, but will read on Ao3 if the fic I like lives there.

I read short fic only on tumblr, but will read longfic on Ao3.

If Ao3 link posts 1st, & the fic is on tumblr later, I will wait for tumblr.

If I like the fic, I will read it wherever it is, as soon as link/chapter is up.

Other. Specify in tags.

I just want to see the answers.
