can certain species have vitiligo or albinism? like im sure humans could but what about the rest like vixen, blueple, unicorns, talpians, etc
Yeah, mostly any race can have albinism, with unicorns being the exception with their already blank white skin-- however albinism and vitiligo can still affect their hair and eyes in the same way it would any one else.
On the flip side, unicorns can have melanism, where many other races do not have the genetics for melanism.
Every single race has the genetics for the chance to have pigment altering conditions to some degree.
#so a unicorn could have bleach white hair on their head or spotted lighter spots on their hair#but their fine body hair is always white#melanism and-- if it exists-- melanistic vitiligo would range from their fine body hair darkening to their native color#or darker#a fully pitch black melanistic unicorn has probably existed at some point#however unlikely it may have been.#and alternatively there's probably been a pitch white albinistic vixen#brambleramble
