Imagine Dottore being genuinely a bit intimidated when he has to deal with all four lady Harbingers.....
Like occasionally, he'll find himself in a situation where he owes all of them a favor because he never pays them back after he needed something from them.
His debt to the ladies pile up, and he knows they're probably scheming on how to thoroughly express their distaste to him and everything he stands for.
So he just
forces a segment to go ""talk"" to them
essentially throwing the poor bastard into the den of lionesses
Dottore can just repair him when the ladies send him back to him, so it's fine!
