how long can your characters be in hiatus before their role is reopened?
As all of our characters are OCs, their role would not be reopened, their character would be retired. If they were a wanted connection, it would be up to the person who requested the connection if they wanted to reopen the request for the connection or not. Some people do retire the connection as well if the person was here a long time.
Specifically however people can be on hiatus for three months so long as each month they make us aware they are on hiatus just so we’re not extending it for someone who isn’t around.
how long after their hiatus is up does a character have before they're unfollowed?
The next activity check. We don’t specifically do hiatuses, players are welcome to let us know when they won’t be around, many of our players do, but players only need to inform us if they will miss an activity check, which is always on the last day of the month. So any unfollows for people who ask to miss a check will come in the following check.

Would weather manipulation that controlled rain, tides, wind, etc in a small area be an option for a power? I'm thinking of using it for a siren!

Hi! Is this a plot rp, or more of a supernatural town based rp where its more character driven than settings plot driven? How long has the group been open and what movements have happened that can be taken as a goal towards supposed antagonists?
This is a plot based rp that is jointly influenced by the characters, most of the plot arcs that occur have situational effects for the characters to interact with and on some occasions have specific instances and events applied to specific characters. One of the characters had been kidnapped during a town event and other characters were enlisted to find and save her and subsequently other minor characters plots were established from there. We have this plot arc timeline page (it is outdated but it has some of the past plot points for your reference). The group itself was first founded in April 2020, then a break was taken and reopened in February 2022.
