The library was a place Quentin found himself frequenting as of late. Though he could find some information online, and he ran a blog where he began documenting the events in hopes that someone would see it and help him, there was also some information found in books that he hadn’t seen while reading on the web pages. Sitting in front of a library computer with a book opened on his lap, he was in the middle of typing out some of the details on the page to hopefully pull up more results when he heard a thud nearby. It was too loud to have been something as simple as a book falling off a shelf.
Glancing over his shoulder, he felt a sudden wave of paranoia wash over him. He was awake, right? Biting at the inside of his bottom lip, the teen turned back to face the computer again. He found himself dreading hearing knives behind him, or seeing Freddy looming in the shadows in the reflection of the computer screen. His fingers just barely touched the keyboard when he heard a scream, which had Quentin quickly scrambling to his feet. What the hell had just happened? His footsteps were quick as he followed the direction in which the sound came from. A swift turn to walk down one of the aisles, and there he a girl laying on the floor while violently thrashing around.
His first thought was that it was some sort of seizure she was going through, which Quentin honestly wasn’t sure how to help her deal with. He was about to turn to go get help, but then he saw it; a cut suddenly appearing along her arm. He knew he hadn’t been imagining it, as there was nothing she could’ve cut herself on without him seeing.
“Oh shit,” he muttered, the realization sinking in. If she was in fact another victim of Freddy’s, he wasn’t about to let the demon take her life in front of him. Quentin knelt down beside the girl, hands gripping at her shoulders to begin shaking her in an attempt to wake her up. “Hey, wake up!”
