Can't help but feel the 'Optimus discovers Getaway's shrine to him' scenario is way funnier and even more embarrassing for Getaway if Optimus just looks at it and then gently puts his hand on Getaway's shoulder and goes 'oh Getaway, it's ok, i see this a lot' with the same tone you'd use to explain interfacing to a freshly constructed mech and Getaway wishes he could sink through the floor and into the Pit because not only has Optimus Prime seen his Optimus Prime-themed sex shrine but APPARENTLY its not even unique

Optimus is an influential enough figure that there's an entire disorder named after people thinking they're him. Mecha being obsessively attracted to him must rank so much further down than that.
It is so, so funny to think about this as a well documented phenomenon.
