Not entirely sure what the story on these are They tend to show up on older mil-contract Ops-Core helmets
Tanodizing is difficult, and I'd assume there was a high rejection rate as far as color variation, so I'd be willing to bet that Ops-Core put these off-color shrouds in with government-ordered batches since there was nothing effectively wrong with them aside from the color and the military wouldn't complain about it as much as a civilian customer potentially might
But much like a majority of discolored anodizing on military-issued items I think it looks hot af and I wanted one, so here we are
The guy I got it off of does vehicle work for AFSOC, and he says that these pink ano shrouds show up on pretty much all the helmets in inventory and he was replacing his with a Wilcox shroud, so he was willing to just gift it to me since we're close friends
