#opposite 108

Some expression drawing/practice in my style! It’s been a while since I have drawn Opp!Yang Tu (Rouxuan) In my style, I thought it would be nice to do so again.

For context @lavafet has the references posted but here’s the Opposite Hero 108 design of him if you’re curious <:D

A rough Opposite 108 comic set towards the start of "season 2," Leo Cheng has obtained a mysterious new, red and blue power of great strength. It is extremely helpful in the battles he becomes involved in, but it isn't enough. He desires more.

Eentually, two voices call out to him—mysterious beings who promise him levels of power that will win the war. Now Leo officially meets them both, but their intentions aren't pure.

Honestly? The answer changes depending on the day! I really love all of them and for different reasons too! If I HAD to choose though, Rain from Opposite 108 takes the cake. He’s the most different from the other Rays personality wise, but he’s SOOO precious to me and I love his water powers. He’s a big comfort and I kind of like that he stands out so much :]c

Here’s just a few of the sketches I’ve done of him that have never been posted!

Rainy may have an unfair advantage above the rest though lol—he’s been around far longer than any of the AU versions! He was first conceptualized back around 2019 when I was 16 🥺🩵💙

There’s also other Rays I could have considered for this question too which I absolutely ADORE, like Beyond!Ray and Circus!Ray! But Beyond is more of a fan extension of canon than an au to me, and I don’t know if I should include Circus!Ray in this question since @nameko-nick made him by himself (even if I’ve been given permission to help with the au hehehe).

As you can imagine though, I am ALSO crazy about him at the moment PDJWIWJSJWIAJ he’s so charming……..

BUT ANYWAYS NONE OF THIS MEANS THE REST ARE CHOPPED LIVER. They’re ALL the best in my book 🥹

Anyways thank you so much for asking!! Being able to yap about Mighty Ray(s) at any capacity makes me happy :D

Speaking of costumes, I can post these now.....

I LOVE Ray's gardener outfit so much and naturally, as I was drawing him he needed someone to look at! So I drew Lin Chung right next to him. It's hard to focus on the mission when your boyfriend is acting so charming!! ❤️💜

And of course because THEY MAKE ME SICK I had to draw Rain and Leo dressed up too!! Rain would actually be a flower gardener in his own universe because of how fun and peaceful it is. His tears even help with maintaining the garden, too! And of COURSE he'd have to have his own outfit for the occasion also (which Nick designed btw and he looks SO ADORABLE).

IT'S FINALLY HERE—MORE OPPOSITE AU CHARACTERS!! This post has been months in the making! I hope you all like them ♡♡

This round of characters is special to me for a couple of reasons: 1) because some of these characters took much more creative liberty to make, and most importantly 2) because a few of these characters were a community effort!

So, allow me a moment to give credit where credit is rightfully due:

- Commander Wukong's design would not be what it is without the input of @nameko-nick and @theprismofchaos 's contributions!

- Woo the Wary wouldn't be what he is today without spitballing ideas with @theprismofchaos :]

- Emperor Highscholar's design is a mesh of concepts between myself, @theprismofchaos , and @darkape-bkv , between his personality and design!

- Ruoxuan's design and concept was created ENTIRELY by @nameko-nick !

- Madame Red's concept was inspired by @nameko-nick 's suggestion of her being a pirate. He also suggested the cute bandana!
