I know I have some beef with the current social justice climate and how it’s handled, but I have no clue whatsoever what to do about it or how to make it better. It’s frustrating. The problem with any system is that even if it works on paper or in practice at first, it will inevitably be escalated to its most extreme, exaggerated form until it doesn’t work anymore. That’s just what happens when a large number of people decide something is good; the obvious conclusion is that more thing = more good and we end up with teacup pugs and artificially escalated, unsustainable standards of social progress that result in things like Donald Trump having a greater-than-zero percent chance of becoming president because people aren’t willing to take a small loss and just accept that Clinton is the best bet at this point. We’ve come a long way, but change happens gradually, it just does. A lot of people exist, that’s a huge volume of minds for an idea to disperse through. The pendulum swings back and forth, the main thing is to make sure the average is moving in a positive direction. 

Shouting “why can’t we all just be reasonable” into the void is both unhelpful and pretentious so I’m out of ideas. 

It would also probably be good to quit Othering republicans and white men and such because once you stop recognizing a group of people as people, you stop being able to communicate properly with them. If you want to change their views, learn their language instead of demanding they go out of their way to learn yours so they can be more effectively lectured at. Trust me on this, I grew up in a community of Christian homeschoolers and I’ve seen it in action. It’s not a good strategy. As an example, the argument over which neutral pronoun is the most correct. The vast majority of the population is still getting the hang of the concept of more than two genders. If someone who wouldn’t have before is now willing to start calling someone they/them, that is NOT the time to complain that ze/zer is better. Let people catch up and consider new ideas, don’t scare them off by seeding the learning curve with land mines. 

And that individual level is important, because once one republican white dude is on board with it, his fellow republican white dudes are going to be more inclined to listen to and start to emulate him than they are the liberal nonbinary person who explained it to him, because Othering goes both ways. Over time it gets normalized, and yes you’ll still have people who refuse to accept it, but they’ll eventually become a minority and the overall cultural climate will change.

Hello. This is just a little piece of my opinion about the Beauty Queen's Break-up. 

So, the social world is already bashing Janine because of what she did on Kris Aquino's Morning segment. She basically admitted that she and her ex boyfriend (Jaypee) already broke up. There's nothing wrong about that right? But the real reason why Janine is getting bashed it's because she never think about what her ex boyfriend's feeling will be. She just proudly and liberatedly say that "Actually, break kami ngayon."And you know what kris aquino's reaction right? "OH MY GODD BLABLABLA" As usual, OA. Yeah, for me admitting that you guys are not in "Good Terms" is just fine. But acting like a high school student in front everyone just because this DAZZLING Vocalist of a VERY VERY Popular band in the WORLD is asking if you have a twitter account in FRONT of your EX BOYFRIEND is definitely NOT FINE! NOT FINE AT ALL. Okay, let's just say that you guys broke up maybe a month or less but you shouldn't act like you're already MOVED ON. Hello? Please obey the "THREE MONTH RULE" miss. You know, 3rd Parties are THE MOST worst parties EVER. No invitations, just gate crashers. And also, let's just say that this "boy" Jaypee is not a OH-SO-LOOKING-YUMMINESS-SUGARCOATED-VANILLA ICE CREAM guy like Danny is,but he doesn't deserve ANYTHING that he's experiencing right now. In the first place, before janine got the title, he's the one that have been there all through out. And now, that janine is adored by almost all guys, an insipiration to girls, she's now forgetting the one's that have been there all through her race to become a beauty queen. And I can say, that Popularity CAN really ruin some things in your life.

But don't worry Jaypee, Karma is on her way. :)

oh gosh i really wish there were less complaining about spn but i guess that is an impossible thing to ask for?

i get that it's not exactly been sunshine and rainbows in season 7 but when is it ever sunshine and rainbows on this show? and yet so many people are like FUQ U SPN FUQ U PLOT FUQ U SPN WRITERS and i keep seeing it day in day out, all this hate and full-on anger for the direction the show has taken

and of course we have a right to not be happy about some things and mourn characters and get involved like that because it's a show and that is how we interact with it as fans and i know we love the characters very, very, very much

i love them so so so much too

BUT

i'm just like, wow ok if someone is so angered and upset by the way the show is then why do they still watch it? it is never going to be written by fans, it's always going to be the writers' show, not ours, and the spn writers already do cater to the fans quite a bit, if you think about it 

so just CAN WE TRY TO BE AT LEAST HAPPY THAT SPN EXISTS because it brought us wonderful characters like the winchesters and cas and all the angels and everyone and it really is a lovely, if painful, show to watch 

maybe i am just too easygoing about these things, i just love spn a lot so even if it tears my heart out i will still be kind of loyal to it idek idek 

seems like i'm the online that's happy about torres' move to chelsea..

I hate Chelsea with a passion, if there's someone who really hate them, that's me. I've always had a soft spot for Liverpool and I love Fernando and it was awesome to see him playing for them. 

But what can we do if he wasn't happy anymore?

Maybe it wasn't the moment, maybe it's fucking chelsea! so what? 

We need to accept the fact that as much as we all hate Chelsea, it's a fucking great club, one of the best. and it's a big step in his career, so I'm happy for him, even though it's gonna be fucking weird seeing him blue instead of red. With Suarez moving there, it was probably for the best.
