things i like about cursed child:

scorpius malfoy is a sweet boy

hermione is minister of magic !

“[hermione] is full warrior now and it rather suits her.”

astoria being a good woman who encouraged light side behaviour in her son and probably her husband; draco and astoria married out of love and not in an arranged marriage

snape: “well, at least i’m not married to [ron].”

the dialogue itself is well-written, even if i hate what’s being said

things i dislike about cursed child:

cedric diggory becoming a death eater and killing neville

delphi dark’ness raven dementia lestrange riddle diggory

bellatrix and voldemort are canonically a couple

astoria being fridged after suffering years of people saying she used a time turner to go back in time to fuck voldemort

hermione is only minister of magic if she is married to ron

voldemort day, scorpion king, the entire darkest timeline

snape: “tell albus severus - i’m proud he carries my name.”

rose weasley is a complete non-character, she barely has any lines and doesn’t even exist for over a third of the script

bc of the above, rose/scorpius just seems like a quick way to ‘no h*mo’ out of the queerbaiting between albus and scorpius

harry’s characterization, his attitude towards albus and delphi

harry: “are you really sure he’s yours, draco?”
