don't mind the art- Here we go again! our fourth Land of the Freaks character! This is Ophio: The Fungi. Oh boy, this one is interesting- so, this little guy was forced to have cordyceps implanted into their body to see how the fungi's would react to a magical/skeleton host. The experiment was a success- and that was the worst ending that could've happened. The magic inside Ophio's body had made the infection stronger then it should be, the only thing that works in his favor is the fact that the magic is able to keep him fighting instead of being totally braindead like the fungi would do to an ant. but for the most part, Ophio is very zombie like- in the literal sense, they barely move unless its to go to a better place for the infection to spread. the infection had become so bad and dangerous to even the other experiments and doctors, they had to craft an entire new building for the now infected skeleton- it was so dangerous that anytime someone had to check up on Ophio to make sure it didn't escape, they had to wear multiple layers of hazmat suits just to stay extremely safe. double layers of masks, gloves, body protection- everything had to be doubled, sometimes even tripled. it is extremely dangerous to even be in a room Ophio was previously in, if for any reason Ophio had to be brought out of its own contained building, the room it was in had to be cleaned over 20 times in every corner of the place.

Personality: Docile, accidentally dangerous, almost always mute, small bursts of screaming and paranoia. Powers: can cough out spores that if inhaled- it can manipulate the brain of whoever inhaled it but just barely since it isn't dead yet. it doesn't really use any powers to fight since all it wishes to do is continue spreading the spores and dying. Fun fact: the random bursts of screaming and paranoia comes from the real Ophio trying to stop the fungi from fully taking over and killing him, it only lasts either 5 seconds or 1 minute before he goes back to being docile and sitting patiently, awaiting death with a calm smile. and for the bottom half of its design! (including properly describing the design) - Cordyceps spreading out from the top of his head. - a mushroom growing out of his right eye. - always sweating due to being in the sun for the most part. - wearing a worn down, bloody, dirty and ripped hospital gown. - cordyceps growing out of his arms, legs and even through the clothes. - no shoes. - bones appear to be rotting in certain areas either nearby or entirely from the cordyceps. - bloodshot (somehow) green eyes with un-dilated pupils. - mycelium staining the hospital gown.
