I feel like issue four was a better ending than this one. Most of it was just the characters arguing over stuff that didn’t matter in the moment. And then like, when the Russians showed up, they shot Peggy, took all the Russians they were traveling with back and then sent everyone else home all nice like. Weren’t they illegally in Russia doing illegal spy stuff? Like, they shot Peggy. Then suddenly they were treating them all super nice. I feel like I’m missing something, but I don’t think its in the book. I don’t know. At least the Carter TV show is good.

I was right! The payoff of Shareen was really interesting. She was kind of a literal Star Crossed lover with this Xanth guy. But he was all black and white. That was really cool! All the fantasy stuff was really cool. The only thing I didn’t like was how they broke into a girls team and a boy team. It just seemed kinda silly. But it wasn’t a big deal. I feel like Shareen using her powers to save the girl is going to have some consequences. Such as her own death. We’ll see soon!

I’m really glad they kind of reintroduced the characters because its taken me about a year to read this comic and I was a little fuzzy on who was who. That was also a really exciting intro seeing the truck fly into the lake/river/water. The whole thing with the couple was pretty cool too. I liked the fattening a rat to later eat it. That’s smart. It should be exciting to learn why Shareen is glowing and what her connection is to this glass ship thing.
