Open Sessions artist Thessia Machado will be in our Main Gallery this Thursday evening with sound sculptor Ranjit Bhavnagar for a performance at 6:30pm. FREE. This is a work by Thessia Machado (b. 1967, Brazil) is in our Drawing Room gallery as part of Open Sessions 7. Machado lives and works in New York. Open Sessions 7: Hibernating Plan is on view Wed-Sun 12-6pm | Thur 12-8pm. This is a group exhibition that considers drawing in relationship to the sense of suspended time inherent in planning. Featuring artists #ShereeHovsepian, #RafaelKelman, #Arnold Kemp, #ThessiaMachado, #SunMoqing, #SaraChangYan, and #TuguldurYondonjamts, the exhibition explores the notion of the “sketch” in relation to the instinct to hibernate, intuit, and mull over.
