Gin is helpful when you need an extra-boost in performance and scalability, as it runs embedded in a packaged version of nginx called OpenResty and it's entirely written in Lua. For those not familiar with Lua, don't let that scare you away: Lua is really easy to use, very fast and simple to get started with.

아무래도 언제나 프록시를 통해서 백엔드 애플리케이션을 접근한다면 사용자가 많아질 수록 서버가 감당해야 하는 부하의 규모도 커지기 마련인데, 사용자 인증 등의 간단한 로직을 NGINX 등에서 처리할 수 있으면 부하를 조금 더 효율적으로 관리할 수 있다.

這個感覺上很威，可以說是某種特化版的 nginx，把 nginx 及一些常用的第三方 modules 包在一起，但效能似乎比原生的 nginx 還要好！

一份來自 cn 的章亦春 (agentzh)的 Nginx tutorials，提供了英文與簡中兩種語言。雖然主要的撰文時間較早 (2011~2012)，且似乎已經停止更新了，但還是值得參考，適合想要更認識 Nginx Variables 者閱讀。
