Life in small town Wisconsin was often boring. The second born to a family struggling to make end’s meet, Damon did his best to help out. A stay-at-home mother did her best to raise her children to have manners and gratitude and she is more than thrilled with how Damon is turning out. It was at a young age that he began showing great interest in all things related to history, consuming documentaries and historical dramas like they were going out of style. He loves museums and collections and spent as much time as he can at a yearly Renaissance Faire. Damon spent his undergraduate education at a college near his home, but decided to move to Vermont for graduate school upon admissions to Cabot Creek University.

It is clear that Damon is a little socially awkward and nerdy. His pastimes are not always accepted by his peers, but his professors find him interesting and a dedicated student.

It was hard for Damon to make friends, but after finding a group of people who accept him for who he is, Damon feels right at home.

In high school, Damon spent his weekends with friends made mostly outside of school, but he did join clubs that helped him meet people.

It was in Bennington, Vermont that Violet came into this world as the youngest of three. Growing up with two older brothers that taught her how to protect herself became so ingrained in her being that Violet assumes the worst in everyone. When she was just hitting puberty, her mother was caught cheating on her father with a man Violet had trusted with her life and since then, she can not shake this inability to open up to others, which often hurts her relationships. A girl with big ambition, she finished her undergraduate degree at a university in New Hampshire before moving back to her home state for graduate school. Violet knows that nothing can stop her from achieving the dreams she has created for herself, but she does not realize just how difficult that might be as the strange situations at Cabot Creek continue to push everyone around her to their limits.

Professors admire Violet’s drive. Initially, she seems like a sweet girl (and she can be), but they quickly notice how intense she can be and worry that she takes things a little too seriously.

Her friends want to know more about her. She is a mystery, and those that see her more intense side are left with unanswered questions.

In high school, Violet was struggling with her home life and often pushed her friends away. It was alarming, but the ones who truly cared stuck around.

The house he grew up in had a white-picket fence with a bright green lawn that overlooked a developed, residential area where houses were football field’s length apart and considered part of a gated community. Everyone had an oversized pool, a four-car garage, and more bedrooms than anyone could ever use. It was in rustic Connecticut that Jackson was born. He would argue that no one has a perfect life, but apart from minor heartbreak, the loss of two grandparents, and light childhood teasing, his life would be considered a dream to many that were less fortunate. Mostly, he remained humble, and with a group of supportive friends, he spent time volunteering and giving back whenever he could. Obsessed with romance, he often gave his heart away quickly, but has since learned to take things slower. There were many graduate schools he considered, and though Cabot Creek was not his first choice, he missed the deadlines of other schools and procrastination landed him at the Vermont university where he has been fairly happy with the decision.

In class, he is a bit of a joke to his professors. It’s clear he has little world experience, but he tries; sometimes too hard.

Jackson’s friends roll their eyes at his romantic gestures, but they find him to be a good laugh. He’s quite generous and they appreciate that aspect about him.

In high school, Jackson was popular. He had plenty of relationships, which often took time away from his friends, though they still cared about him.

She comes from a cozy town in western Massachusetts where her autumns were spent amidst orange trees and pumpkin patches. An only child of divorced parents, she grew most on stories of love and adventure. It was hard for her to open up and trust, and she spent most of her time reading and writing and studying, but Eliza always had a knack for excitement whenever she was able to let go. Most found her doe-eyed appearance alluring and her fun personality the cherry on top. After completing her undergraduate studies at an Ivy League she spent her time traveling and working odd jobs for several years before she applied to graduate school in only New England states. Cabot Creek offered a great education in a quiet town and Eliza excitedly jumped on the opportunity.

Generally, professors are glad for Eliza’s presence in class. She volunteers information frequently and is quite bright and experienced.

Her friends adore her. Eliza is friends with a variety of people, though she has few close relationships.

In high school, Eliza was overworked but popular. She spent much of her time doing work, but also managed to maintain an active social life.
