“...” A sigh. Riven usually didn’t like days like these. Today was Father’s Day. A day that brought joy to most. Except for this orphan. Her parents had died when she was just fifteen and she had to learn to live in Noxus all by herself in the worst way. She wasn’t one for wasteful spending, but this could at least be an exception. The bunny bought flowers and walked up to her father’s tombstone in the local cemetery.
Placing them in front of the stone, she started up, “Hey dad...it’s Father’s Day and...well...” Scratching the back of her head, she felt silly talking to a stone. “I’m bad at this.” The bunny admitted and frowned, giving another sigh. “Thanks...for everything. Not just the sword. But for everything you and mom did. Not just for me, but for Noxus too.” Looking down, Riven felt a pang of sadness in her heart. She knew her parents were just nameless grunts, expendable for Noxus. But they died fighting for a cause they believed in. All the more reason Riven wanted to further herself. Not just for Noxus, but also her parents. It’s what they would have wanted. To continue the legacy and achieve greatness that far exceeded both of theirs combined.
But right now she was just a bunny, and only a reserve member of the military in Noxus. She felt a bit disgraced and ashamed to even show her face to her father’s grave like this. “I know I’m nothing to be proud of right now...but I will one day. I promise I’m going to bring honor and pride to our family name. I just...” Yet another sigh, she was really bad at this. She was done shedding tears a long time ago, but she still felt down just being there. “Thank you...I love you...for everything.”
