Tyrantises Of My Multiverse
Well, a bit back @tyrantisterror did some art on multiversal incarnations of his retrosaur kaiju OC Tyrantis, which I loved because I love the idea of Tyrantis as a multiversal constant ala Unicron or Rick.
And I thought to myself “What would be the versions of Tyrantis be in my various multiversal worlds?”So, to answer that, here's three of those:
Tyrantis Rex: The most relatively “normal” of the Tyrantises, basically an artificial being made of plastic and rubber to hold an element of platonic Tyrantis-ness; a part of the concept-core that other Tyrantises draw from; in the Memory Palace for my multiversal stuff. They have all the powers of the regualr one, except they can also change their size at will. Because they'd kinda need that to get around.
Their Doctor Lerna is much the same, a mannequin given a part of the concept core of the various multiversal Lernas.
Fear Reaper: The terrifying-looking cybernetic Digimon-esque Tyrantis from the CQ-verse, they were technically originally a relatively simple (Albeit powerful) security program, but one buffed up by exposure to unknown forces; along with others of its saurian “series”. Despite his terrifying looks and name and his great power, he's still got the same relatively amiable personality of the other Tyrantises. His Lerna is a programmer who lives under the alias “Gogol Kujira,” on the run after finding out something she shouldn't have and finding a strange and powerful ally in Fear Reaper.
And yes, for the record, I did name Fear Reaper after the Blue Oyster Cult; for the novelty of not using the obvious song name from that band. Though I did use it as the basis for Lerna's alias.
Tyrantisaurus X: From the more b-movie-superhero-y side of my stuff, they were basically a normal sewer-gator until they ended up mutated into a gnarled beast after stumbling upon a discarded cache of designer drugs; made partially from the semi-living substance found in a meteorite and a commonly occurring problem-substance known coloquially as “Space Crack”
They look a lot more gnarled and grotesque; slimy though not necrotic; but are still relatively good natured as per usual (Albeit more gruesomely violent to those who have it coming). Their Lerna is basically a social worker who ended up in the job via a series of events too ludicrous to concisely describe here.
So, yeah. IDK if I’d eve use ‘em because; well; Tyrantis isn’t my character; but if yoyu want to know what they’d look like in my settings; there ya go!
