"If someone could stop popping the damn devil out of the box, we'd be a lot better off!" "He's still in America. It's not like he's going to leave." "No, not yet, but he will! I guarantee you that after he finishes with them, he'll come for us!â "You don't know that!" "Oh, yes I do. Lucifer doesn't want any competition." *With that statement, the meeting room became silent. Gods from all over the world had gathered in one spot to plot against the Judeo-Christian Archangel. Normally, many of these gods would be at each other's throats, but Lucifer was a much bigger threat. There were Pagan gods, Japanese gods, Egyptian Gods, and even Greek gods. Most of these gods were no match for the restless archangel that was undoubtedly soon to head their way.* *Lucifer had already begun the apocalypse once again, killing thousands already, heading quickly into the millions. And quoth the Devil, âold habits die hard.â* *The meeting wasnât, exactly, going incredibly well. Small quarrels were beginning to rise into full-on fist fights and yelling matches, some of the more powerful gods beginning to get destructive with each and every second passing.* *But all commotion came to a halt once more as the doors of the meeting room slammed open, a young boy carrying something wrapped in linen, his forehead soaked in sweat, and his breathing coming out in pants.* *Zeus beckoned the boy to come forward, recognizing the demigod. The boyâs voice shook slightly. Whether it was from fear or from exhaustion will remain unknown.* âS-sir, we f-found itâŠ!â *The boy held the package out to the god, getting down on one knee to present it. Zeus, slightly hesitant, took the package into his hands, slowly unfolding the linen, a bit of metal shining in the light. He didnât need to unwrap it completely; he could feel the power radiating off of it. This was their chance.* *Zeus stood, holding up the package, clearing his throat and speaking loudly.* âMy fellow gods and goddesses⊠I present to you⊠the Lance of Michael!â *The linen fell from the weapon, revealing the shiny brilliance and the pointed tip, deadly enough to kill not only the strongest of the gods, but Lucifer, himself. Upon seeing the fabled weapon, many of the godsâ hopes began to rise, making them much more willing to cooperate. Yes, they could get rid of Lucifer once and for all.* *Excited chattering and plotting filled the room, contrasting much with the tense atmosphere from before. Most agreed on one thing: Lucifer had to die. In fact, all agreed on this, but one. The Greek goddess, Athena, rose from her seat, speaking over the crowd, hushing them as she began to speak her thoughts.* âMy friends, killing Lucifer is not an option.â *Several gods went to disagree, cries of outrage beginning to erupt, but she only continued.* âHe is much too powerful for any of us to take on. While I might normally say cooperating with one another and fighting together is an option, itâs not this time. We all saw how Lucifer slaughtered those Pagan gods all those years ago. We donât stand a chance in a fight. So letâs negotiate with him-â *Athena was interrupted by the Egyptian god, Bastet.* âAthena, weâre talking about Lucifer. He doesnât know how to negotiate. He only knows how to destroy.â *To put it simply, Athena and Bastet had their fair share of quarrels, and, Bastet having spoken against her only enraged her.* âOh, what do you know, you cat-loving bitch-?!â Athena! Thatâs enough! We finally have a chance! These stupid fights arenât going to solve our problem! We donât have the time to play around like this. *Odinâs powerful voice rang through the room, silencing the quarrel before it began. Though it left some of the Egyptian gods a bit ruffled, but they listened, nevertheless.* While Iâd like to agree with Bastet⊠Athena is right. We canât fight him. âSo what do we do, throw in the towel? Youâre right, this is our chance! Our chance to take that brat out!â *The Celtic god, Camalus spoke up, standing up and slamming his fist into the table.* Camalus, calm down. Letting our emotions control our actions makes us nothing but animals. I know you have a score to settle with Lucifer, but letâs do this the smart way so we make it out alive. *Several tense, silent moments followed before the god took his seat once more, Odinâs words getting to him. A few more moments of silence followed, then Odin made a proposition.* I propose we negotiate with Lucifer. We have the spear. Itâs really the one thing that can kill him, and I speculate that heâd do anything to keep it out of enemy hands. *Once again, silence ensued, but only for a few moments as a few nods and hums of agreement broke said silence. But only a few agreed. Most were still strongly opposed. Including the African thunder god, Shango.* âWhat if he turns the negotiation into a bloodbath? What if we hand over the spear and he turns around and uses it on us?!â *Many agreed with Shangoâs logic, but one of the most powerful and ancient of the Aztec gods spoke against him; Tlaloc.* And you have a better idea, Shango? Because, frankly, weâre running out of both time and options. I donât know about you, but I donât really want to get killed by the archangel with daddy issues today. *And, with that, the gods fell silent once more, until a voice broke said silence once again.* âI propose we send our finest soldier to meet with him. We can show him our strength and ferocity. We can show him that, with the spear, we could defeat him.â *Futsu-Nushi-No-Kami, one of the Japanese gods of war spoke politely and quietly, but his voice was powerful nonetheless. Many agreed upon this, wanting their presence to seem strong, but Aphrodite disagreed, her reasoning sound enough to win the majority of the gods over.* âI disagree. This is a peace offering we are trying to propose. Sending a soldier will not bring peace, but anarchy. We should send the most beautiful of us⊠Like me.â *Zeus grumbled slightly, annoyed, as his daughterâs slight infatuation with the powerful archangel. Sending her would be a terrible idea and might only bring more trouble their way. But Zeus wasnât the one to say it. The Roman goddess, Bellona, countered Aphroditeâs proposal.* Aphrodite, you donât know the first thing about war. You donât understand whatâs at stake here! You shouldnât even be here! *But before Aphrodite could defend herself, Hera spoke up, shooting a glare towards the roman goddess.* âAphroditeâs methods will work best, but she will not be the one to go. I refuse to feed her disgusting obsession with this man-child.â *Aphrodite didnât dare go against Hera, becoming silent as Hera took over the discussion.* âThe question is⊠who do we send? Iâm open to suggestions.â *The room was silent as the gods pondered over who would be best. It took several minutes for the gods to reach a conclusion of who they were going to send, Kishijoten, the Japanese god of beauty and luck, presenting the idea.* âThereâs a young goddess I know⊠Sheâs not very powerful, and sheâs definitely a beauty⊠(Y/n). Thatâs who I think we should send.â *** â(Y/n), you must make sure not to insult him⊠donât provoke him in any way. Try to befriend him. Make him think higher of us. Our fate rests with you.â *Hera was preparing the young goddess to meet the very face of evil, giving her specific instructions, making sure she knew where to bring Lucifer, should he agree to their terms, their terms, of course, being that he stops the apocalypse immediately, refrains from killing any of the gods without good reason, and any demand that the messenger should give him. They felt the need to reward the messenger, considering the âdonât shoot the messengerâ situation could be very easily overruled by the vengeful angel.* *She was to bring Lucifer to a palace in Greece, if he was to agree. He would then take an oath, and the lance would be his. The plan was simple. Every god would gather in that palace, in an attempt to coerce him into obedience.* *(Y/n) set off not long after that, soon finding him in a hotel, creating chaos and massacre for the mere hell of it. His vessel took on the look of one of his previous ones⊠Nick. He had short, light blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. His skin was beginning to deteriorate, as it did with every vessel Lucifer ever possessed, as they werenât strong enough to contain his power. His clothing was the same as Nickâs. Simple. For some unknown reason, heâd taken a liking to that look of his.* *(Y/n) teleported inside of the hotel, the word ânervousâ not even beginning to describe her feelings. This⊠monster could kill her so easily. She almost regretted saying yes to this job.* *She appeared behind him, as he crushed a human head with his bare hands, a small, satisfied smile on his lips. He neednât turn around. He knew she was there. His smooth voice rang through the now dead-silent hallway, sounding almost hurt.* âWhat an insult⊠sending such a weak goddess to battle me. Do they really underestimate me that much?â *The archangel turned, the smile turning into a smirk as he could plainly see the fear in her eyes. He raised his hand, about to snap his fingers.* âI donât have time to deal with a weakling like you.â *But (y/n) quickly spoke up, before she was to be obliterated.* âIâm not here to fight! I come on behalf of all the gods to negotiate!â *Lucifer stood there for a moment, dumbstruck, slowly lowering his hand, his expression clearly confused as he slowly folded his arms.* âNegotiate? Do I really seem like the negotiating type?â *She didnât hesitate. She wouldnât let this monster intimidate her. She couldnât be afraid. So she slowly spoke, making sure each word was crisp and clear, trying to sound confident.* âWe have something that would interest you greatly, and we are willing to give it to you if you accept our terms.â *Once again, Lucifer seemed confused. Something he would want? Well, the world destroyed was number one on his list⊠what could it be? He decided to hear her out, asking,* âAnd what might this item of interest be?â //So, this is the... second starter for Lucifer I have. It can really go anywhere. //Your character is required to be female. I don't care what kind of god she is. She can't be incredibly powerful. It's kind of obvious as to why. And for the love of the gods, try not to get killed. Lucifer isn't, exactly, patient. //Usual rules: 10+ lines,  write in third person, have decent grammar, etc. //I apologize if I don't answer immediately. Sometimes it's hard to answer for one reason or another.
