Some say that a small spark can start a great fire.
That's to say that everything has a beginning.
At every decision there was once an idea, a thought, a conception, an implant of what could be.
So is this what we expected two and a half centuries of democracy to be?
Where Independence is nothing more than an invisible restraint tied to the necks of our subconscious to be more than we need to be?
To crank the wrench tighter? To turn the wheel harder to make someone ungrateful more wealthier with the promise of us getting one more day to live on the scraps of a fortune that should be available to all?
The politicians we once voted in now pay their way in on the premise of promises as hollow as their insatiable egos. Fingers pointed every which direction at someone or something else like gangbangers, a cross check for the thugs many of them really are. Traitors even to their own parties and agendas.
This is the game... So as you play it, think to yourself. Is this truly freedom, or are we paying for that with our souls when our wallets run dry?
Riddle me that America.
Enjoy your one day of freedom before it's stripped away like bad paint for something more shiny and willing to obey like the robots they want us all to be. For the all mighty dollar dollar and the Algorithm.

Kick Out the Annoying, the Negative, the Never Been Used and the Small Things this New Year
I started my year, by doing a quick room by room scan and simplifying of all my personal things.
(1) I removed everything that annoyed me. I had a shirt that was in good condition and fit me well. But it didn't feel good on my skin. I wore it a few times in 2011. But I just didn't feel good when I wore it. Goodbye!
(2) I removed things that I got bad / negative vibes from or I've associated with bad / sad memories. I had a jacket that reminded me of the time when my wife and I had a bad argument. Goodbye! If you've got anything like that, give it to someone you don't know. You can also smash or burn it (it's more cathartic that way).
(3) I looked for stuff that I never used in 2011 (January is a good time to do this). If you haven't used it the whole 2011, remove it from your life. You will never use it. Let another person benefit from it.
(4) I fixed the small things that I saw everyday but never had the chance to give time to. The crack on the steps, the drawer with no knob, etc. Even if they're small, they still get our attention and make us feel bad until we've fixed them. Deal with them (or get someone who will).
After successfully doing all this, I remembered what David Allen said about 'closing open loops'.
Completion of open loops, whether they be major projects or boxes of old stuff we've yet to purge and organize, prepares the ground for cleaner, clearer, and more complete energy for whatever shows up. -David Allen, Ready for Anything
Indeed, after doing a quick simplifying round, I feel ready for anything this 2012!
Simplifying,
Danny
