☼ benjy & open
☼ location: st. mungo’s
The waiting lobby of St. Mungo’s was always hectic no matter what time of day or year it was. Today was no different, Benjy noted, as he sat in a chair nursing his left hand wrapped in a heavy cloth. The injury wasn’t too terrible, at least for someone in his line of work. It was the result of a rather nasty repellant curse that had been placed on a locked trunk that Benjy had attempted to crack open while on the job. Benjy had met Curse Breakers who’d lost fingers, ears, and even limbs, so he considered himself quite lucky. Benjy’s superior had ordered him to leave the job to get the injury looked at as soon as possible.
As soon as possible, in St. Mungo’s terms, seemed to be whenever they got to him on the queue. Glancing down at his lap, Benjy noticed the dark stains of blood beginning to seep through the cloth. Benjy sighed and stood, hoping to flag down the attention of somebody to at least get him a new cloth, before he unceremoniously bumped into the person crossing in front of him. “Shit-- sorry,” he said, wincing as his injury throbbed painfully.
