Released in 1991 the "Oozers" was a line of action figures produced by the Canadian toy company Irwin. The Oozers toy line was a group of monsters that had chest cavities that you could fill with a non-toxic ooze. Once filled, you would squeeze the chest and ooze would come out of certain areas on the action figures. We're pretty sure parents just loved these at the time, ooze and all. - source

this look was inspired by the alexjohnsonart take on it initially with the mask but I sort of leaned into more Jack Kirby for the rest of the design with these big sharp angular takes on the armor and cape. Gunther is a Oozer

Oozers! These would twist apart so that you could fill them with slime that ran out of their eyes and mouths. Some people might argue that they were unwholesome and just plain gross, but they were actually highly educational and taught me a lot about human biology, such as the slime glands of the endocrine system.
