Project Announcement - Magabanashi: Ghost Stories Spreading on Social Media
Here we are with another horror anthology! Yes, I really enjoy anthologies, especially those focused on Japanese urban legends. I find horror far more engaging when it’s psychological and supernatural rather than overtly gory, so expect more of that here. This collection presents stories shared on a popular Japanese radio show called Magabanashi, where listeners recount their eerie encounters.
Check out the first two chapters now on Mangadex!
OOYA ENERGY INFUSION RASPBERRY WATERMELON
I WANT SOMETHING THAT ISN'T TOO POWERFUL AND THAT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE FUCKING GUMMY WORMS. THANKFULLY, OOYA IS HERE TO FILL THAT NICHE FOR ME THIS PARTICULAR CAN IS VERY, VERY STRANGE. THE OOYA LABEL IS APPLIED OVER A LABEL FOR WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DRINK
MATE LIBRE. SPECIFICALLY, ROSE & HIBISCUS FLAVOUR
I'VE ONLY SEEN THIS PHENOMENON ONCE BEFORE, BUT THE BRAND AND FLAVOUR WERE THE SAME, AND I'D ASSUMED IT WAS DONE TO ADDRESS THE DIFFERENT LABELING REQUIREMENTS BETWEEN COUNTRIES. THIS IS A DIFFERENT SITUATION, THOUGH. I DON'T KNOW WHAT SPURRED THIS ON. WEIRD STUFF
ANYWAY, AS FOR THE ACTUAL DRINK ITSELF: IT HAS A HINT OF WINE TO THE SMELL, BUT MOSTLY SMELLS OF WATERMELON. NOT TOO OFFENSIVE, BUT A BIT OF A WEIRD SCENT THIS OOYA IS NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS THE OTHERS. IT IS A HINT MORE BITTER, THOUGH NOT ENOUGH TO MAKE IT MORE UNPLEASANT, BUT MOSTLY FEELS AS IF IT'S MISSING SOMETHING--BUT I CAN'T QUITE PLACE WHAT. IT CERTAINLY ISN'T VERY CARBONATED, SO PERHAPS THAT'S IT. WHATEVER IT IS, THIS ONE SEEMS A BIT WEAK AND FLAT. ALSO, RASPBERRY IS BARELY DETECTABLE IN THIS ONE; JUST A VERY MILD WATERMELON HOWEVER, IT GETS BETTER TOWARDS THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE CAN--NOT IN TERMS OF CARBONATION, OBVIOUSLY, BUT THE TASTE CHANGES, AS DOES THE FEELING IN THE MOUTH. IT BECOMES VERY SLIGHTLY ASTRINGENT, LIKE TEA. I GUESS THIS STUFF SETTLES? YOU CAN'T SHAKE IT TO DEAL WITH THAT FACT, BECAUSE IT'S CARBONATED. DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THIS ONE 7/10. STILL GOOD, BUT OOYA IS NOT DOING THEIR BEST HERE

However, you can see the carved Buddhas here: blog-imgs-51.fc2.com/m/o/m/momococks0505/SCAN0001.jpg and blog-imgs-51.fc2.com/m/o/m/momococks0505/SCAN0002.jpg (Since I did not expect to go anywhere that day, I only had my phone with me)
