canโt get over the reveal scene in the restaurant
it was so well done, the acting was phenomenal but so was the writing
beth is listening stunned in silence and after sheโs done kitty terrified asks, what are you thinking beth?
and the first thing out of her mouth is, how old were you?
and thatโs when kitty starts to properly unravel, itโs her trauma, its saying it out loud and hearing the horror of it, itโs the adrenaline leading up to her confession, sick to her stomach afraid of what this will mean for them, this woman that has been so kind to her, who deserves so much, who she already has come to love in such a short space of time
but she also unravels because of that kindness, she knows sheโs just launched a grenade into this womanโs world and her immediate reaction is concern for kitty, for what that confession means for kitty
oh and when beth asks, what happened and kitty sobs she canโt [talk about it] i got literal chills when bethโs voice goes low and quiet and she says, did someone hurt you?
i donโt know man, yes beth is kind and fierce but the way she says that, thereโs something in her voice, i could easily believe she could, she would commit physical violence to protect kitty if she ever found out the whole truth
and then after when beth says sheโs got some of his [tomโs] mannerisms and says, the way you smile, your eyes. the way your whole face lights up when you smile and kitty looks down for a moment you can see everything on her face, that this whole moment is too much, but also she looks like she is being gifted something, it looks like something settles within her, like bethโs kindness and care are mending something with that recognition
