I was out early one morning thinking about what the music world has become. A well-known content creator had just returned his MPC Live III to the company that gave it to him — and I realized something deeper: the moment creators start chasing brand deals, art becomes marketing.

That’s where the anger comes from — not bitterness, but the frustration of watching purity get replaced by performance.

💭 The Origin Story: Born from Purity

My name is Jamel Marshall Pearson, professionally known as oO5 Dynasty, formerly Legacy.  Back in the day, my twin brother Legend and I built everything from scratch — flyers, CDs, street promotion, even our own websites.

I got into entertainment because of pure intent. I wanted to help Legend become one of the most respected street artists from Long Island. No gimmicks, no shortcuts — just authenticity, posters in pizza shops, and beats made from the heart.

I wasn’t chasing fame or clicks; I was chasing purpose.

🧠 The Reality Check: Everyone’s Selling Something

Fast-forward to today, and everyone online is selling something: affiliate links, sample packs, sponsorships.  It’s all “click my link,” “buy my pack,” “subscribe to my course.”

That’s when I realized: creativity now lives under capitalism’s algorithm.

⚙️ Purist Energy: Why I Never Sold Out

I’ve been doing this since the early 2000s. I built LegacyArts.net, coded websites, designed covers, promoted in five towns by foot — all for the love of art.

Furthermore, I taught myself Photoshop, HTML, and music production not to impress — but to create self-sufficiency. I wanted Legendary Team (our crew) to own everything.  That’s what being a purist means: learning because you love it, not because it pays.

💥 Understanding the Anger

When you pour your soul into art and watch the industry manipulate creativity into content, it hurts.  Not because others are winning — but because the truth is losing.

A real producer feels that pressure. We see the fake smiles, the paid reviews, the algorithmic manipulation.  We see talent replaced by timing, and passion replaced by posts.

🧍🏽‍♂️ Sigma Mindset — Standing Alone

I’m not an alpha, beta, or omega. I’m a sigma — self-driven, anti-clout, allergic to fakery.

People don’t like that energy. When you stay pure in a fake world, you get ostracized.  But that’s the price of being real.

If you’ve ever been told you’re “too honest,” or “too different,” that’s your proof you’re walking the right path.

🌍 The Cycle of Imitation

Genres were born from theft — boom-bap, trap, drill, dubstep. Every era repeats itself because nobody wants to be the original anymore.  I created Ghost Wav (Cinematic Air-Hop) as a response to that — a sound built on originality and emotion.

🔥 Legacy of Teaching & Creation

Before YouTube tutorials, I taught over 500 dancers.  Some of them ended up performing on BET’s 106 & Park, or they became choreographers themselves.  But I never used them for clout — that’s not what purity looks like.

Even the records I made with Legend in the 2000s were released decades later, for the purpose of people hearing my foundation. That’s the difference between chasing attention and honoring legacy.

Music isn’t the problem — the system is. The algorithm rewards conformity, not creativity.

Producers get angry because they remember what art felt like before monetization. They remember staying up late to make something new, not to upload on schedule.
