The first thing Kohei registers once he came to again was pain, situated mainly against the right side of his head, prompting a pained whimper from the spider teen. He’s been so preoccupied with alleviating his hurts that it did not immediately register that he had company. So when someone reached out in the dimness and grasped hold of one of his legs, it prompted a frightened shriek from the hero in training. Legs recoiled, skittering backwards until Kohei’s back bumped into the wall at the furthest end of the room. “Uh-” His voice cracks from the sudden onslaught of fear and he takes a moment to breathe. “I’m-! I’m okay!” His headache has receded into a dull ache at this point, but there’s more to worry about than that! All eight eyes scanned their surroundings frantically, taking note of it’s dismal stare. “Where...are we?” His attention soon wanders back to his companion. “And- who are you? Did you- We were running from the thing! The big black tadpole looking thing! Do you think it trapped us in here to finish us off later?” Just the thought of it alone is enough to send shivers down his spine.
